Getting anxious to leave Mobile, Trent and I sat down and made a list of everything, that we could remember, we’ve done to Pepper. It felt good to tick off dozens of to-dos. It’s a long note-worthy list, below. I can’t beleive we’ve been here over two months. Time has really flown!
At Scott Turner’s suggestion, we took our newly renovated boats out on their first passage, and mine too. We’ve all been working so hard getting them ready for our new lifestyle, it was just time to have some fun, gain some experience and test the waters, literally. Troy dropped our repaired sails..
It sounds like we’re having a party, right? I wish! This has actually been the most difficult week. We pulled Pepper’s bottom up out of the water and proped her up in the hot-as-hell boat yard at Turner Marina. She needs a good scrubbings and some makeup.

Not thinking much of it because it rains almost daily here, Trent casually walked back to Pepper to secure a few things. A coup..
Tonight was the neighborhood BBQ at Tuner Marina. Everyone brings their own meat to grill and a side to share. We brought chicken, cucumber salad and charcoal. It was a small group this evening. None-the-less we were anxious to share details of what all we’ve done to the boat in the last week and ..
We did catch a little wind yesterday. Scott Turner had some friends down for the weekend so naturally we went sailing aboard S/V Viking. I sailed more today than I have in my entire life. It was nice to leave the marina on water and remind ourselves why we’re there and what we can and will go ..
We ate the most delicious fish yesterday beginning at lunch with grilled mahi mahi sandwiches at Cravin’ Cajun. It was so good that we preordered a stuffed flounder dinner for two. Scott and Cory joined us. The café is connected to a fresh fish market. You can’t get better fish if you tried and ch..
